From a good question
to a great conversation.

PodRandom helps two people plan a podcast conversation. A host publishes a topic and time, a guest requests a seat, and the host chooses who joins. Both meet in a private browser studio.

1. Publish a conversation

Give your episode a specific title, explain what you want to explore, and describe the experience you’d like a guest to bring. Choose 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Dates appear in each visitor’s local timezone.

You can have three upcoming conversations at once. Your conversation page is public, so leave contact details and sensitive information out of the description.

2. Invite a guest or welcome requests

Share the conversation page with someone you know. They sign in and send a short introduction, just as a guest discovering the page would. Applications are visible only to their author and the host. The host approves one guest; the other pending requests are declined.

You don’t need followers or an existing podcast. A useful first invitation is specific: “I’m recording a 30-minute conversation about your first year freelancing. Would you like to join?”

3. Prepare together

Check My sessions for approval decisions. Download the calendar event from your conversation page; automatic email reminders are not enabled. The host can cancel before the studio has opened. A new time needs a new conversation and fresh approval.

1. Agree on one main question and a simple outline.
2. Decide who opens, who asks questions, and how you’ll finish.
3. For a creator exchange, divide the time so both people are interviewed.
4. Discuss where each person may publish the recording and how to credit the other.
5. Use headphones and check your camera and microphone.

4. Enter the recording studio

The studio opens 15 minutes before the scheduled time for the host and approved guest. Both enter from the conversation page. Camera and microphone access requires your browser’s permission, and explicit recording consent is required before connecting.

The browser studio supports a two-person call and local recording. Connection quality depends on your devices and networks. A short test call is sensible before an important interview.

5. Save, edit, and share thoughtfully

Recordings save to the recorder’s own device, not to a PodRandom cloud library. Save your file before leaving or closing the browser. Browser memory and available disk space limit longer recordings.

Pick a moment that stands on its own. Keep the meaning intact, follow the publishing agreement you made with your guest, and include a link to your next conversation so someone new can take part.
